New Canadian Encyclopedia Article: Henry Larsen
My new article in the Canadian Encyclopedia is about Norwegian-Canadian arctic explorer Henry Larsen . Larsen was captain and navigator of the RCMP ship St. Roch from 1927 until 1954 and head of the RCMP’s Arctic Division from 1948 until 1961. He was the first person to circumnavigate the North American continent, traverse the Northwest Passage from west to east and traverse the Northwest Passage in a single season.
